I can’t remember

I can’t remember another year when the lilacs were this plentiful and long-lasting.  May I always remember this spring.  The root systems of these old bushes must be large now.  Perhaps I grew some deeper roots too, during the years when I couldn’t write as much.  Beauty and faith sustain.
