Summer Haiku by Carol Purington

This post reprints Summer Haiku by Carol Purington, our post from June 24, 2017.

The scent of roses
heavy on the fading light
a hummingbird moth

Porch conversation
the fluent geometries
of a spider

In time
with the hammock’s sway
the storyteller’s pauses

A heron tows its legs
toward sunset
and a child skips indoors
