Old Wood In The House

strong winter winds
old wood in the house
ceilings, floors, walls
startling me in the early hours
speaking to me this day

the way
Hope holds

I thought I’d begin a new series here of posts that are influenced by my study of haiku.

Photos, and a Poem by Carol Purington

I began with photography as a consistent practice last Spring.  Perhaps some day I can write haiku for my photos.  A Spring photo may inspire when our Lake Michigan beach has icebergs!

Carol Purington was inspired by my photo of a used pitcher bought years ago.  This photo was for a past WordPress challenge.

Most all the photos are simply as nature presented them.  I try to record.
Here are a few winter Lake Michigan photos by Karl.
