I read How to Haiku by Jim Kacian (Winchester VA: Red Moon Press, 2006), which is available in The Haiku Foundation Digital Library.  Then I wrote three lessons for the Higher Education category on the Education Resources page.

How to Haiku 1

How to Haiku 2

How to Haiku 3

Thank you to Jim Kacian for his work in publishing these lessons.

I was inspired by International Haiku Poetry Day, which was hosted by The Haiku Foundation on April 17, 2017, to write a new lesson, which Jim Kacian published:

There are Haiku Lessons and additional education resources at The Haiku Foundation.

I helped begin their Education Resources feature, with Jim Kacian as Editor.  The first set of lesson plans was published in June 2013, and the work has grown since then.  Many people contribute to this work.

Dave Russo is the Web Administrator for The Haiku Foundation.

Brad Bennett and Jeannie Martin are the current co-chairs for the Education Committee at The Haiku Foundation.

I also worked with Dave Russo to create the first Gallery of Cover Art at THF, which features the work of many artists.

The cover art gallery is also listed on THF Galleries page.
