Discover Haiga: My Exhibit Travels Again

As some of you know, I have a haiga exhibit that circulates 365 days a year. Sometimes I divide up the exhibit and have it running at two places at once.
Some of you are wondering “What is haiga?” It is haiku combined with an art medium of one’s choosing. As I always tell people, you can even combine haiku or (senryu) with embroidery.
Currently, I have an exhibit at Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Rd., in Mundelein, IL, (a Chicago suburb.) Other venues I’ve exhibited at include corporate buildings, convention centers, hospitals, and galleries.
I have nineteen pieces of haiga and haiku. I say haiku, too, as a few pieces stand on their own with haiku penned with illustrative calligraphy that accents its theme. In order to have an exhibit, of course, all pieces must be professionally framed.
