Wisconsin Willows

I wrote this haibun yesterday, for Aubrie’s Cox’s beautiful “doodle” at YAY WORDS!, posted on March 26, 2014: “I DOODLE, YOU ‘KU 2014-24.”  http://yaywords.wordpress.com

Wisconsin willows are becoming spring too.  They are wrapped in so many memories of time in Milwaukee with my mother, and all the years now after her passing.  They have wept for me, reaching to heaven, earth, and water at the same time.  They remind me of Psalm One and that I will bear fruit again in season.
